ABOUT

Ian Bernstein is a Los Angeles native, born and raised. He graduated with a Bachelors degree in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz. His focus on education and environmental stewardship has led him to work as an Interpretive Intern with California State Parks, as a Research Intern for the Santa Monica Bay Restoration Commission, and as an Intern for Friends of Ballona Wetlands. He also worked as a Live Animal Keeper for the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles where he managed the Pavilion exhibit space and cared for the invertibrate animals on display throughout the museum and behind the scenes.

His knowledge of California state standards in science and his history in outdoor and interpretive education has helped him to develop a large library of educational materials from both private and state entities in his personal collection. These materials include comprehensive wetland and ecosystem education materials including but not limited to materials from the California Coastal Commission, Education and the Environment Initiative, California State Parks, Friends of Ballona Wetlands, and lessons and curriculum of his own development.
